WholeApproach Candida Diet:   Keeping a Diet Notebook or Personal Health Journal

Keeping a diet notebook will help you throughout your healing process. This involves keeping detailed records of all the foods you eat and how they affect you. We recommend that you record the time of each meal, what you eat and how you feel afterwards. You can set up your own notebook, or use a publication such as the MemoryMinder Personal Health Journal, available online from the WholeApproach Store.

Make sure that you note every significant symptom or positive response as it occurs. If you can't keep your journal with you at all times, always plan to note your symptoms before you eat again.

The journal is also a great place to record any changes to your supplement protocol or notes about an ongoing investigation into your environmental health issues.

The database of experiences that you are creating will offer useful reference points to help you understand the development of a particular reaction. Since food reactions can take several days to develop, your journal can become a crucial investigative tool. The diet notebook helps you tune-in to the impact of specific food choices. This can be one of the most important lessons on your journey towards optimum health.

The journal will also serve as a record of progress. Changes are sometimes slow and subtle. When experiencing any doubt about continuing with your program, it's helpful to look back a few months to remind yourself of your progress.

The Journal as a Food Allergy Detective
There are many methods of food allergy investigation, but only the diet journal will help you to actually connect the varied symptoms of each reaction with a specific food or food-combination.
