Stevia is a natural plant extract which is 200-300 times sweeter than sugar with hardly any calories. Stevia does not feed yeast or candida and should be a natural sweetener of choice when dealing with parasites, fungal infections and conditions where the use of sugars are not recommended. It has a slight licorice-like flavor and for some people who only like the taste of real sugar it may take a little getting used to. Since Stevia has such important medicinal value, it is well worth learning to love.
Since artificial sweeteners are banned in Japan, the Japanese are the greatest consumers of stevia. A member of the chrysanthemum family (closely related to tarragon and chamomile and distantly related to lettuce, artichokes, safflower oil, and sunflower seeds and oil), it is totally safe and has been used for centuries by the Indians of South America where it grows wild.
Simply add 5-10 grams of Stevia powder extract to 25O-500 grams of ChicolinTM (depending on the concentration desired), shake to disperse Stevia throughout the container and use the white powder as a sugar substitute in food preparations or beverages.
Stevia powder is an extract of the sweet glycosides (natural sweetening agents) in the stevia leaf.
